Our goal
Professor Bo Jacobsson and his research group, consisting of 27 international and local members, studies different aspects of pregnancy and delivery. The research team is mainly divided between Gothenburg, Sweden, and Oslo, Norway and consists of medical doctors, medical students, midwifes, nurses, assistant nurses, administrators, biologists, dieticians, civil engineers, analysts, statisticians, geneticists, PhD students, post docs, associate professors, professors and senior researchers. The competence in the group is broad, covering all clinical aspects of pregnancy and delivery, epidemiology, nutrition, environment, genetics and molecular biology. Bo Jacobsson has further developed a very strong European preterm delivery network with the research group of Teresa Cobo in Barcelona, Spain, and Marian Kacerovsky, in Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic. Expert statistical competence is provided by associate professor Staffan Nilsson,
PhD Chris Flately and PhD Pol Solé Navais at Sahlgrenska Academy together with other qualified members in the group. Apart from our scientific work, we arrange international and national conferences, lectures and workshops. We also see great importance in communicating our findings to the general public. |
